Hormones 101 - How Hormones Impact All Of Us

An interactive, 60-minute “Hormones 101” talk that is open to all staff of all genders so that everyone in the organisation has a baseline understanding of the male and female hormonal similarities and differences as well as the various hormonal phases that impact their colleagues from menstruation to menopause. This talk will cover:

What the key hormones are & what they do so that everyone can understand the various ways their hormones impact them, and make sense of symptoms that may affect them in the workplace.

The male & female hormonal similarities and differences so that staff can find common ground in how their hormones impact them, to develop a level of empathy and understanding.

How the female hormones fluctuate throughout the menstrual cycle and menopause, creating different phases/seasons, and how these phases impact women and people who menstruate emotionally, mentally, and physically, so that employees can be more compassionate and empathetic towards themselves and colleagues.

How hormonal shifts can impact women and those who menstruate in the workplace so that managers can better understand what adjustments their team may need, and for employees to feel more confident asking for additional support, as well as highlighting what support services are already available within the organisation (i.e. Menopause Policy, Health Care Plans, Occupational Health etc and how these could help).
